The NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment has now finalised its whole-of-government assessment for the Vickery Extension Project (SSD-7480) and provided it to the Independent Planning Commission NSW for determination.
The Commission completed the initial stage of a multi-stage public hearing into the carrying out of the Project in April 2019. The Minister for Planning and Public Spaces has requested the Commission conduct a further and final public hearing prior to determining the state significant development (SSD) application.
As required under COVID-19 regulations, the Commission will conduct this public hearing electronically by video conference (with an option to participate by telephone).
Commissioners John Hann (Panel Chair), Professor Chris Fell AM and Professor Zada Lipman have been appointed to determine this SSD application. They’ll conduct the Electronic Public Hearing over two days from 10am AEST on both Thursday 2 July 2020 & Friday 3 July 2020.
If you wish to apply to speak at the Electronic Public Hearing, you must complete an expression of interest form available on our website and return it via email to ipcn@ipcn.nsw.gov.au so that it’s received by no later than 5pm AEST on Thursday 18 June 2020. This Electronic Public Hearing will be broadcast on the Commission’s website: www.ipcn.nsw.gov.au/livestream. If you have no or limited internet access, you’ll be able to listen to a live audio stream of proceedings by dialing 1800 093 431 and entering the following PIN: 83635884#

Written comments are weighed the same as spoken presentations.
