The Mining and Petroleum Gateway Panel is a body constituted under the State Environmental Planning Policy (Resources and Energy) 2021. It was first established on 4 October 2013 and is now a subcommittee of the Independent Planning Commission.
The Gateway Panel is one of the key elements of the NSW Government's Strategic Regional Land Use Policy, a suite of initiatives to better protect the state's agricultural and water resources from the potential impacts of mining and coal seam gas activities.
We recognise the importance of community participation in our decision-making process. Using our ‘Make a submission’ form is the easiest way for you to make a submission on cases currently before the Commission.
