The NSW Independent Planning Commission has today approved, subject to conditions, the Dee Why Mixed Use Development (SSD-68230714), located at 4 Delmar Parade and 812 Pittwater Road, Dee Why within the Northern Beaches Local Government Area. This State significant development will provide a total of 280 apartments, including 43 affordable housing units and 4 commercial tenancies.

Public Meeting on Muswellbrook Solar Farm
The community will be able to have their say at a public meeting on 12 February 2025 on a proposal by ESCO Solar Farm 9 Pty Ltd to develop the Muswellbrook Solar Farm, a 135 megawatt (MW) solar farm with a battery storage facility and associated infrastructure. The Muswellbrook Solar Farm (SSD-46543209) is proposed to be located approximately 2.5 kilometres (km) east of Muswellbrook, accessed from Muscle Creek Road within the Muswellbrook Shire Council local government area and Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone.

Stone Ridge Quarry approved subject to conditions
The NSW Independent Planning Commission has today approved, subject to conditions, the State Significant Development (SSD) application for Stone Ridge Quarry (SSD-10432). Australian Resource Development Group Pty Limited (the applicant) sought consent for the development of a new hard rock quarry to extract, process and transport up to 1.5 million tonnes per annum of hard rock materials over a 30-year period.
