Posted: 15.10.2024

Due to public interest, the public meeting on 28 October to hear the community’s views about the proposal by Plasrefine Recycling Pty Ltd to develop the Moss Vale Plastics Recycling Facility will now be held in person.

The in-person meeting will be held at Bowral Memorial Hall at 16-24 Bendooley Street, Bowral on Monday 28 October 2024 from 9am. An additional online public meeting will also be held on Friday 1 November 2024. The deadline for written submissions has also been extended to 11 November 2024.

The Commission appreciates the assistance of Wingecarribee Shire Council in identifying a venue for the public meeting.

Staff of the Commission will contact everyone who has already registered to speak on 28 October 2024 to ascertain whether they would prefer to attend in-person on 28 October or online on 1 November.

Both the in-person and online components of the public meeting will be livestreamed on the Commission’s website for the public to observe.

Anyone wishing to speak at the public meeting must pre-register on the Commission’s website using the Speaker Registration Form.

The deadline for speaker registrations is midday 24 October 2024.

The Commission is also inviting the public to make written submissions which can be lodged via the ‘Make a Submission’ portal on the Commission’s website. The Commission will also accept submissions made via post or email.

Written submissions will be accepted until 5:00pm on 11 November 2024 (extended from 7 November 2024).

Please note

If demand for speaker timeslots is high and the additional virtual meeting date on Friday 1 November is required, the registered speakers will be sent instructions on how to join the public meeting virtually and will be asked to indicate to nominate whether they will present to the Commission Panel either via video conference or by telephone
