The NSW Department of Planning & Environment has finalised its whole-of-government assessment of the McPhillamys Gold Project (SSD-9505), and it has come to the Independent Planning Commission NSW for determination.
The Commission will host a Public Hearing on Thursday, 8 December 2022 and Friday, 9 December 2022 to hear directly from community members.
This Public Hearing will be conducted either in person or via video conference, where speakers can present to the Commission Panel.
How to Register to Speak
If you wish to apply to speak at the Public Hearing, you must complete the online registration form by no later than 5pm AEDT on Friday, 2 December 2022.
Registered speakers will be provided information on how to join the Public Hearing and the technical support to help them prepare for the Public Hearing.
How to Watch the Public Hearing
This Public Hearing will be livestreamed on the Commission’s website: www.ipcn.nsw.gov.au/livestream
In the interests of openness and transparency, we will also publish a transcript of the Public Hearing on the Commission’s website.
Written Submissions
If you want to have your say on this project, you can also submit comments in writing to the Commission up to one week (seven days) after the Public Hearing via our online portal: www.ipcn.nsw.gov.au/have-your-say
The deadline for written submissions is 5pm AEDT on Wednesday 21 December 2022.
